Going Rogue

What Would You Create
and Who Would You Be
If You Stopped Holding Yourself Back?

A 2.5-hour online workshop for people who don't think they're creative — and for anyone who has ever felt disconnected from their own creative voice.

Maybe you've never thought of yourself as creative.

Maybe you used to feel connected to your creativity, and somewhere along the way you lost touch with it.

Or maybe you're simply curious about what might happen if you gave yourself permission to find out.

Something in you might be waiting to be heard.

Not to become an artist.

Not to impress anyone.

Not to get it “right.”
Just to let something inside you speak first.

What we'll do

Through playful, intuitive creative exercises, we'll explore what happens when you quiet the noise, trust your instincts and allow something to emerge without trying to control the outcome.

No skill required. No judgement. No critics.

What you make is for you. No one else sees it. It comes from your inner necessity, and you might not even understand it yet. That's fine.

When I wrote Since You've Been Gone, I didn't fully understand it until more than five years later. I've also created characters and written lines of prose that seemed to have no place at the time, only to find them years later in other works.

You don't always know what something is for when you create it. Sometimes, you only discover where it belongs much later.

The image for Going Rogue is a digital collage of Frida Kahlo.

She painted herself because she was "so often alone" and because she was "the subject I know best." Her canvases were a private diary that portrayed her pain, her body, her truth. Not for money or approval, but because something inside her had to come out.

She didn't wait for permission. She didn't make herself palatable. She went rogue.

Why this exists

I spent years trying to write the book I thought I should write.

It never worked.

Then I wrote the book that simply had to come out.

I wrote it in two months.

Later, I discovered Kandinsky had a name for what I'd experienced:

Inner necessity.

Something inside us that wants to be expressed.

I believe we all have it. But somewhere along the way, many of us learn to override it in favour of what's acceptable, what's practical and what won't get judged.

Going Rogue is an invitation to listen, trust, and allow your inner necessity to emerge.

Who this is for

The ones who don't think they're creative.

The ones who used to be, but lost touch with it.

The ones who are curious.

The ones who are blocked, stuck, or scared.

The ones who are tired of performing.

The ones who want to meet themselves again.

Six places. One small group. A chance to go rogue.
